About Mere Mist International
MMI was established in 2003, by a dedicated young woman of service, whose background included years of missionary work and outreach for various non-profit organizations. During her work and travels she discovered that the Black Sea Region was a natural port of entry used by sex traffickers. Inspired to help, she began further research on this taboo issue, and learned women and children were being entrapped and exported as merchandise all over the world. She was motivated to become the voice of change for these victims who had limited resources in obtaining their freedom. For this reason MMI was created to provide response, outreach and advocacy. This foundation offers safe housing for survivors healing them from the unspeakable violence experienced during their enslavement. Additionally, the foundation provides basic counseling and mentor-ship programs to help their recovery process. MMI’ s mission is to give survivors the means to live independently and regain their physical, mental and emotional strength. Therefore, giving them back their freedom.
We are a small band of people, tied together in heart, mind, and soul to make a positive impact in difficult places. For the protection of our Overseas team and the victims involved we are choosing to remain nameless and faceless to the general public.
